"Balanced, accurate, but musical."

"Amphion Two18 is a very clever design with great imaging, superb phase response and accurate frequency response in a very affordable package."

"Musical and inspirational tool for your everyday mixing tasks.”

"An inspirational tool that is detailed and accurate enough to make well founded decisions without killing the creativity with overemphasizing details of the production.”

"…balanced, accurate, but musical. The speaker has no problem with spotting flaws in a production, it just does it in a less "brutal" way than some other contenders in the test.”

David Zells

"My search for the ultimate speakers is over"

"My search for the ultimate speakers is over. The Two18s are providing me with detail, 3D depth and  stereo width, which i never experienced before. No more insecurity regarding any frequency or knowing when a mix is ready.  These speakers are a real time-saver.  With Two18, my mixes get done fast. Changes are very rare and my clients are happier than ever.

Measurements

Because all real control rooms have at least one surface (a floor) the speaker low end (below 100Hz) is measured in half free space. This gives a fairly accurate estimation of a very large control room, with the speaker placed far from back and side walls.  As the room size decreases, the amount of bass increases, which means that the smaller speaker models are particularly well suited to smaller rooms which will support the bass response of the speaker. In other words, the plotted frequency response corresponds to the minimum amount of bass you can expect in any control room.
