Instruction and performance by theremin virtuoso Lydia Kavina. The unique video features:

• A series of six lessons, including exercises designed by Clara Rockmore

• Live performance of three of Lydia Kavina's own theremin compositions

Lydia's stage career began at the age of 14. She has played the Soviet Electro-Musical Orchestra performed at the Thalia theater in Hamburg, and recorded with the London Philharmonic for the soundtrack to the movie "Ed Wood". She has a CD of her own compositions, entitled "Music from the Ether" on Mode records. Moog Music is delighted to present this uniquely talented artist in the first instructional theremin video ever.
